About the library and the Esmond friends
the W. Anne Gibson-Esmond Station Library
The W. Anne Gibson-Esmond Station Library is one of the newest libraries in Pima County. Opening the doors to the community in the midst of the pandemic in 2021, the library quickly became a community hub. While the library welcomes all, it serves as an important resource to Southeast Tucson, Vail and surrounding communities including the Vail Unified School District.

The Friends of the W. Anne Gibson-Esmond Station Library (Esmond Friends) have a passion for two things: literacy and seeing Vail and surrounding communities thrive. The Esmond Friends brings these two passions together to support our local library, a trusted community hub, with enhanced programs and learning opportunities for all ages.
